Introducing the Black Merc V1 (Limited Edition)

A special project produced as a strictly limited run of just 20 units. It was created specifically for our long-standing collector base of REVOMAZE enthusiasts.
 
The original Black V1 was made by our first engineers and designed exclusively for Chris Pitt. Following requests, Chris agreed to have 20 additional units produced, which were sold to early collectors. No further units were made, and this commitment has been honoured, making it one of the hardest REVOMAZE puzzles to find.
 
An original prototype was produced to sign off the design and was sold as BK00-20. Along with Chris’s personal version and one retained in the engineer’s cabinet at their workshop, this represents the full extent of production.
 
Due to overwhelming demand, the maze was later produced in plastic by our original engineers. After changing engineers, a new version of the Black was developed by the new team under the name “Merc Engineering.” This version was never produced in metal, but continued interest in the design meant the idea of a metal version remained.
 
Forum user “Darctangent” later contacted us to commission a metal production in order to complete his collection, which includes every puzzle in the range, including the original Black. After reviewing the design, he contacted other users to gauge interest. A significant number of collectors expressed interest in reserving one within a short period of time.
