We are a small, family-run engineering business creating high-quality precision metal puzzles that are sold worldwide. Our work has been recognised internationally, including being featured as Best Gadget Game on Channel 5's The Gadget Show.
We're looking for a Level 2 Engineering Operative to join our workshop team and help manufacture our award-winning puzzles. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, learning new skills, and taking pride in producing beautifully engineered products.
You'll receive one-to-one training to learn how our puzzles are designed and manufactured, including operating our CNC Turning Centre. As your skills develop, you'll play a key role in helping us refine existing designs and bring new designs to life.

Roles and Responsibilities
(Based on experience and willingness to learn new skills)
Assembler
Ensure the highest level of product quality for the company’s most important asset, our clients.
Assemble customer orders efficiently while meeting company turnaround targets.
Machining
Assist in product design and planning using CAD software including TurboCAD and Fusion 360, alongside ODOO production and manufacturing systems.
Learn ShopTurn programming and operation of a Siemens Sinumerik 828D CNC lathe with live tooling, C axis, and bar feeder on an Emco E25 TCM.
Maintain programme files and version control.
Set up machines including tooling and work holding.
Operate machinery during production runs while following all health and safety guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
Attend seminars and trade events such as the MACH26 show at the NEC.
Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.
Essential Information
We will work in partnership with Furness College to deliver a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship, providing structured on the job training alongside supported off the job learning at college.
