Workshop Status Report – 02 October 2026

Thank you for your continued patience, loyalty, and support.
Here is the latest update from the workshop on production progress, testing and current developments.
VAULTMAZE & Other Projects
VAULTMAZE has its own update below.
There have been no changes to repairs this week.
Leaving the Workshop
On Monday, we will be sending out:
1 × Aqua Lite (Alu)
2 × Aqua Lites (Br)
3 × Blue Lites (Alu)
1 × Green Lite (Alu)
1 × Grey Lite (Alu)
1 × Titanium Lite (Alu)
1 × Purple Lite (Alu)
We’ll continue working through production and outstanding orders in batches as more Lites are completed.
Production Progress
Work has now started on manufacturing the first batch of 8 sets.
At the current rate of production, each set takes approximately 4.5 hours to produce, with brass taking slightly longer. This allows us to work through roughly two sets during the working day.
One of the biggest improvements to production has been the way our production programs are now organised.
By using programs, subroutines and defined machine cycles, we can reuse common elements across different components and only make changes where they are needed.
This has significantly improved the efficiency of the process and reduced the amount of time required to set up and run different components.
These improvements have also been applied to VAULTMAZE, making the rings in particular more efficient to produce. A review of these changes for VAULTMAZE will take place over the coming week.
We’re also hoping to review the wider production schedule soon. Once this is in progress, we’ll allocate time for repairs, VAULTMAZE and other workshop-related work while continuing ongoing Lite production.
Knurling Improvements
We have also been looking closely at the consistency of the knurled finish.
We’re currently refining the knurling process and will be using a 0.5 mm wheel rather than the 1 mm wheel used in older mazes.
This produces a finer finish and gives the components a cleaner appearance while maintaining their functionality.
We’ll continue to improve this area as production progresses, with the aim of ensuring the finished parts are functional, visually consistent and comfortable during use.
Storage & Packing Area
The base for the new storage and packaging shed has now been prepared and is ready for concreting.
Chris is hoping to complete this over the weekend, weather permitting. This will allow us to move forward with the next stages and free up some additional space in the workshop.
New Testing Sleeve
A new clear testing sleeve has been developed specifically for the Lites.
Previous attempts at a testing sleeve used a similar pin setup to the production Lites, with a can housing the pin and spring. However, because of the size of the can, visibility of the maze path was obscured.
The new sleeve has been designed to overcome this problem, giving testers a much clearer view of the path and pin while testing. This should make the testing process considerably easier and more effective.
The new testing sleeve will be sent to our testers alongside the Grandmaster Lites. This will allow a full test to be carried out in the same way as the testing previously completed with the Gold.
Testing of the Gold identified a few issues, which have since been corrected. A working version of the Gold will now be shipped out.
Testing remains an important part of the production process, and with the latest programming and efficiency developments, we’re now able to run and program a maze when required.
Computer & Software Development
Unfortunately, there was a fault with the desktop PC used for drawing our components, which resulted in a system failure.
A new PC has now been built and updated, providing faster performance and allowing us to move from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
There have been some driver-related issues to work through, but we’re working towards getting everything operating as intended.
In the meantime, development has continued using Autodesk Fusion 360, including the ability to produce work directly for the machine.
Charlie has also been working on applying new coding techniques to further improve the production process.
Thank You
Thank you for being part of the REVOMAZE journey.
The best is ahead.

Small issue with the statement "VAULTMAZE has its own update below." as there is no section for it.
While going to a finer knurling wheel, does it take longer to finish each item, due to smaller size?
It would have been nice to see a photo of an empty testing sleeve, as I'm having problems trying to visualize what it really looks like.
Windows 10 to 11 upgrade is good. Windows 11 has better file system journaling (for recovery) and security than W10. Also W10 officially stopped being supported last year. So this is a very good move.
Thanks for the updates!
