There have been no changes to VAULTMAZE or repairs this week.

Machine & Workshop

Last week, we had an issue with the machine’s air pressure system. This affected the compressor and pressure regulator.

The replacement part arrived on Wednesday and has now been installed. While the machine could resume normal use once fitted, we chose to take the time to carefully work through the machine setup, inspecting the turret, chuck, tailstock and pressure system to ensure that nothing else was damaged and that everything is working correctly.

The compressor pressure is currently being monitored at 7.5–8 bar, and we’re keeping an eye on the regulator, drain and some of the plastic components where corrosion and cracking can occur.

We apologise for the downtime, but these things need to be done correctly both for the safety of the machine and the people using it.

Charlie & CAD / Production & Assembly

This week Charlie returned to college. He’s there on Tuesdays, and spends Wednesdays and Thursdays at HQ, where he’s continuing to work through the latest design changes.

He’s also been making use of Fusion 360, the full version of which is included in the course, to create technical drawings as part of his studies. This will be useful as we continue developing our designs and machining processes. The course runs for a further year.

The sleeves collected last week have now been unpacked and quality inspected. Thankfully, only a small number of sleeves were found to be unsuitable for customers. These have been put aside for testing purposes.

With everything being inspected, and now working as it should, we’re returning our focus to production, assembly and shipping.
